Why you should go vegan

In Finland, we are generally a rather healthy nation. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement! Thanks to the Vegan Supplement market, being a vegan is now easier than ever before. If you’re not vegan, then hopefully, you will be by the end of this article.

Today, I want to talk about why you should go vegan.

The animals

I’m going to start with the reason that most vegans will mention when you ask them why they decided to go vegan. And that reason is to help the animals.

When people say that the common response is usually “but we’re supposed to eat animals, it’s what the cavemen did”.

Ah yes! Of course. The cavemen used to eat factory-farmed animals who lived in torturous conditions and were crammed into the tightest spaces possible. Our ancestors from that time would have brought their meat, which would have been pumped with chemicals, and put into plastic packaging.

The health

Another benefit of going vegan is that it’s healthy. Throughout the world (although not so much over here), obesity is becoming a massive problem! People are eating so much meat that it’s clogging up their arteries, and causing them to have all sorts of health problems.

Vegan food, on the other hand, is much lower in saturated fat, and way lower in salt. And the idea that vegans don’t get protein is a myth. So long as you eat beans and pulses, you will be getting more than enough protein!

You can even get mock meat these days!

The planet

The biggest contributor to global warming is the meat industry. Because it’s so large, those animals are producing so much methane that it’s causing global warming to speed up. And then, you’ve also got to factor in the amount of carbon given off by transportation.

There are no two ways about it, the world is going to end unless we manage to get our carbon emissions under control. If the temperature rises by just 4C, the earth will suffer from significant damage. Now is the time for us to act, now is the time for us to get this problem sorted before it’s too late. And going vegan is arguably the most effective way of doing it.

The money

Another reason to go vegan is the savings that you can make!

Whilst a packet of meat will cost you about 2 euros, a tin of lentils will cost you about 30 Cent. This is great for people who are on a limited budget. Not only are you saving the animals and the planet, but you’re also saving your wallet at the same time.

At first, it might just save you a few dollars per shop. But trust when I say, that money adds up, and fast!
